Heighington Wives

The Heighington Wives are a group of ladies who meet informally one evening each month. We are mainly a social group which was started originally to enable new people in the village to make friends.

We arrange talks, demonstrations and sometimes get involved with handicrafts for the home. Each year we go out for Christmas dinner, and in July we have an outing to a local place of interest. We also support local charities.

Meetings are held in the Jubilee Hall, Heighington at 8 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday in the month. Admission £1.50 per meeting, which includes a raffle and light refreshments. There is no membership fee. All ladies are welcome, you don't have to be a "wife" to be a member..

Our aims for the next year are to recruit more young members, with interesting ideas for the future. All ladies are most welcome, and on the occasional "Open Evening", husbands and partners are invited.
