Heighington Playgroup

The playgroup meets in the Jubilee Hall, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. We closely follow the same term dates as local schools and our opening times are 9.30am to 12.30pm.

The playgroup has a caring, relaxed atmosphere in which all children are valued and made welcome. To familiarise your child with the playgroup, parents are invited to come along with them before they join us full time. We used "guided" play to help each child fulfil his or her own full potential through the 6 areas of learning. There are always a wide range of activities suitable for children from 2 and a half to 4 and a half years. Once the child reaches 3 years old, they are eligable for government funding.

We have four staff at the playgroup. One has a CACHE diploma and another has an NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education. All our staff have many years experience working with children. The playgroup is regularly inspected by OFSTED.
