Jubilee Hall
The Jubilee Hall was built after the expanding village of Heighington, outgrew the village hall.
Following extensive fund-raising by dedicated villagers, (led by Margaret Moran and Mary Round), grants from North Kesteven District Council and various other organisations and a substantial loan obtained by the Parish Council, the new hall was completed in 1987.
Built on one of the villages main roads, the High Street, Jubilee Hall is on the site of the old girls' school. It now enjoys the position of nestling between the old stone cottages of original Heighington and a cluster of more recently constructed family homes.
The Hall boasts a dance floor and bar area, making it an ideal party venue, for all manner of celebrations. With tables and chairs available, the Hall then becomes perfect for meetings, demonstrations or exhibitions.
A kitchen with plentiful amounts of cutlery and crockery, electric cooking facilities and fridge are all at the hirers disposal.
Recent refurbishment, to the toilets has been completed, to include modern uni-sex disabled facilities and baby-changing.
Parking features both to the front and rear of the Hall.
Jubilee Hall is home to several regular user groups. For pre-school children there is the village Playgroup, Toddler Group and Music and Movement Group. The Hall also accommodates two separate Brownie groups, Heighington WI, the Kesteven Blind Society Heighington Social Club, the Gardening Club, the Carpet Bowls group and Heighington Wives. As well as lending itself to local GP practices to offer a regular Baby Clinic. So Jubilee Hall really is central to village life!
Jubilee Hall is able to accommodate up to 180 people.
